Work in the field of automation of project investigations of radioelectronic devices (RED) has been leading on the chair "Radioelectronic and telecommunication devices and systems" (RTDaS) of Moscow state institute of electronics and mathematics (MIEM) for more than 30 years. As a result "Automated system of reliability and quality provision" (ASONIKA) was created under supervision of MIEM professor U.N. Kofanov.

One of the directions of these studies is investigations of reliability and quality of radioelectric devices, led by the developers team (ASKSoft) - creation and development of ASONIKA-K subsystem. In the different periods the work under this system was led by:

  • MIEM students: V.S. Altulin, R.А. Baskakov, Е.I. Vermenich, S.V. Vinogradov, Е.P. Vlasov, I.I. Voronin, P.A. Gertman, S.V. Gorkaviy, А.U. Gusev, V.А. Zhivolup, S.P. Zamaraev, А.S. Ivakhnenko, А.N. Ignatovskiy, А.S. Izmailov, I.S.Kakhanov, I.А. Кlochkova, P.U. Кrutko, S.A. Кulagin, D.V. Lazarev, К.V. Маrchenko, А.U. Nikitin, G.P. Pavlenko, V.М. Petrov, P.N. Pimenov, V.V. Podshivalov, А.V. Polegaiko, S.N. Polesskiy, D.A. Poliakov, V.А. Ruchenkov, V.V. Savosin, N.V. Smirnov, V.V.Sotnikov, А.V. Тоlmasova, А.U. Frider;
  • MIEM PhD students: I.V. Zhadnov, А.N. Levov, Е.М. Маznitsa, S.А. Prаchshikin, М.А. Таrtakovskiy, U.V. Chshеglova;
  • MIEM employees: chief engineer А.S. Galistkov, research assistant S.B. Seleznev, chief engineer М.U. Shаtov;
  • MIEM lecturers: senior lecturer V.V. Zhadnov, assistant V.N. Kulukov;
  • leader of the group NII "Autoelectronika" I.М. Shenderovskiy, head of the sector UDP "CB IGAS "Volna" V.Т. Iksar.

The year of birth of the subsystem ASONIKA-K was in 1974, when section "Reliability" of the chair "Radioelectronic and telecommunication devices and systems" (RTDaS) started work under the system of standardizated methodics of radioelectronic devices modelling on the base of computers. The section was headed by U.N. Коfanov and I.G. Shramkov. That work had several directions. One of those directions was modelling of electric processes, headed by V.N. Kulikov. Researches in this direction included both determinate and probabilistic modelling. For probabilistic modelling of RED number of programs for EC computers on Fortran-4 language were created. Together they allowed to make calculation of elecric tolerances automatic using a method of probabilistic moments. In the end of the 70s it became obvious that not only electrical process modelling, but also mechanical and thermal was necessary. Therefore a dicision to separate a probabilistic modelling into individual direction was taken. This direction was headed by V.V.Zhadnov. Then the abbreviation ASONIKA appeared and standardizated methodics became problem subsystems, one of which was called "Subsystem of analysis and provision of reliability and quality of radioelectric devices", in short ASONIKA-K.

By the middle of the 80s the first version of the subsystem for EC computers has been developed on the base of probabilistic modelling. This subsystem was launched on some military plants of USSR and used in the training process in the leading institutes to prepare engineers under specialisation "Construction and production of radiodevices".

By the end of the 80s a mini-computer (СМ EVМ) version of the subsystem was created. At the same time a version of subsystem for micro EVM was created (DVK-X, Electronika-85). This allowed to create a subsystem version for IBM PC-compatible computers by the middle of the 90s. In 1995-96 was created a version of subsystem for DOS X.X (processor - i486), that included three packages: PAD, PAPB and PAPN BD and was installed in NII "Autoelectronika". Till the end of XX centure technical service of the subsystem was led. Also a solution how to adapt the system for WINDOWS 3.XX was searched for. At the same time a new subsystem version was under consideration, and in the first place it was new data base and user interface. As a result of these studies a new version of subsystem ASONIKA-K-AE was created for WINDOWS 9X, adapted for the specifics of reliability calculation of autoelectronic devices.

But experience showed that modernisation possibilities of ASONIKA-K subsystem, the calculation module of which was written on Fortran, came to an end and Windows adaptation was interrupted for a while. More attention was focused on creation of a new subsystem version.

As a result in 2000 decision was taken to make an absolutely new subsystem version using "clien-server" technolgy. The begining of this project was caused by the following circumstances:

  • first of all, there was a demand to make reliability calculations on plants. In 2000 positive trends in Russian economy (including factories of military sector) could be seen. Enterprises began to receive orders for devices development, including devices for military purposes. By that time quality departments on the factories were eliminated or those quatily departments were short of qualified specialists;
  • in the second place, military standards complex "MOROZ-6" was fully accepted in the radioelectic devices modelling for military purposes. Enterprises began to develop new modelling methods, based on mathematical modelling and CALS-technologies. More over a new editon of reference-book "Radioelectric devices" was published. This required to change information in data bases, including ASONIKA-K.
  • in the third place, a new generation of computers with INTEL PENTIUM processor appeared, software has been improving as well.

By the middle of 2001 a network version of subsystem was created. Data base of this version had reliability characteristics of radioelectric devices of Russian origin (from reference book "Radioelectric devices reliability" - edition 2000 ) and some types of foreign origin (data from MIL HDBK-217F). The subsystem was installed into the local network of MIEM (server was installed in the lab "Reliability" of the chair "Radioelectronic and telecommunication devices and systems" (RTDaS)). At the same time an Internet-site of the subsystem was created. In the beginning of 2002 the subsystem was installed in INTERNET (the server of subsystem was installed in the center CITMO MIEM). This provide access to the subsystem for everybody. A number of Russian users and users from foreign countries installed client applications of the subsystem.

A great attention is given to the questions of implementation. Program complex ASONIKA-K (version 4.0) was installed on working stations of reliability departments in FGUP "МNIRTI", FGUP "NII АА after academician V.S. Seenikhin", FGUP "NII IТ" and ZAO "VIVOSS&OI", into the local net GUDP "CB IGAS "Volna" and ОАО "UPCB "Detail", was used for reliability calculation upon request from FNPTS "RPCB", FGUP "NII ТP", FNТST "Моdule", ОАО "RIRV", FGUP "CB "Ametist", DООО "ОCB IRZ" and GUP "GNST RF "VEI after V.I.Lenin". PC ASONIKA-K is used in a studing process in KGTU and MIEM for students specializing in "Projecting of EC" as well as in MIEM and UKST OAO "Rodnik-Soft" for engineers improving their degree on the corresponding courses.

On the base of the program two PhD theses were passed, studies of the developing team won a number of competitions and developers of the subsystem were granted the following awards:

  • RF Government Prize in the field of science and technics, Prize of the central board of NTORES after A.S. Popov and Prize of Russian NTORES after A.S. Popov;
  • Silver medal of VDNKH USSR and medal of Russian Education Ministry "For the best student's work";
  • Diploma MV&SSO USSR, diplomas of Russian Education Ministry, diploma of All-unio exhibition NTTM, diplomas of Moscow Government, Council of Heads of Universities of Moscow and Moscow region and OAO " GAO "All-Russian exhibition center", diploma of the central board of NTORES after A.S. Popov, diplomas of the central board's presidium of NTORES after A.S. Popov and "Radiotechnica" magazine, diplomas of Organisation committee of International symposium "Reliability and quality"and PGU, diploma of FOBINN, diplomas of KGTU, diplomas of MIEM and diplomas of SGTU;
  • diploma of Moscow board of NTORES after А.S. Popov, diplomas of MIEM and competition committee of RGATA in the section "Control and quality management".

The developers of ASONIKA-K published about 200 papers concerning creation process of the subsystem and its application. The members of ASKSoft are constant participants of different science forums and fairs of scientific products.

For the moment being ASKSoft improves the subsystem's facilities on the base of test results got on productions and institues.
